The one question that defines where Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair are currently in WWE
In 2025, you can find some kind of new pro wrestling program to watch just about every day of the week (some days, multiple programs). That is why I can be OK with some pro wrestling enthusiasts having questions about the current product. That said, I’ve been surprised by one question that keeps coming up as I check the stats on what everyone is checking out on the site, and it has to do with WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill—Nos. 3 and 14 on the 2025 BRP50, respectively—and their tag team pairing, which netted them two reigns as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. It also is the foundation for the PROCEED WITH CAUTION run that Naomi (No. 5 on the 2025 BRP50) is on right now.
So, because it keeps getting asked, I feel like we have to answer this one burning question…
Are Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill still a tag team?
No, they currently are not a tag team. Belair and Cargill’s last match as a tag team took place on November 11, 2024, where they successfully defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against The Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Racquel Rodriguez in the main event. The bout ultimately set up the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series: WarGames later that month, but it happened.
What happened to their tag team?
Well, on the November 22, 2024 episode of SmackDown, Cargill was written off TV after a backstage attack took her out for months. The scene looked brutal; the WWE Universe didn’t see how Cargill was attacked, but the aftermath looked painful1. Belair found out about Cargill being attacked while in the middle of a triple-threat Women’s United States Championship tournament first-round match with Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport.
We know how the story goes from there, right? Naomi stepped up for her Big 3 sistren to be a part of her first WarGames match at Survivor Series: WarGames, and by December, she was teaming with then-still-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Belair, eventually becoming officially recognized as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Belair, defending the titles with Bianca when needed.
What happened to Jade Cargill while all of this was happening?
Well, Cargill was healing, and pondering how she was going to get her revenge. It wasn’t until March 1, 2025, during the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, that Cargill would make her return, savagely attacking Naomi (at a time when most thought she was going to beat Bianca up for whatever reason).
That following SmackDown, during one of the most emotional moments between Belair and Naomi, Naomi admitted to being the one who took Cargill out back in November, claiming that Cargill took her spot and while she felt that Belair and the rest of the WWE Universe overlooked her.
Did Jade Cargill ever get to wrestle Naomi?
Yes, these two eventually got to wrestle twice, with Cargill winning both matches. Their first bout took place during WrestleMania 41 Saturday and was the first non-title singles match between two women at WrestleMania since 2006.
Cargill and Naomi continued to feud after ‘Mania 44, even though Naomi eventually won the Money in the Bank briefcase; their back-and-forth attacks on SmackDown forced SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to give them a No Holds Barred match at WWE Evolution on July 13, 2025. On the Saturday Night’s Main Event the night before Evolution, Naomi attacked Cargill one more time, which not only brought out Aldis, but also prompted the return of Bianca Belair, who was announced as special guest referee for Cargill and Naomi’s No Holds Barred bout at Evolution.
It’s important to note that, during this entire feud, Naomi has been arguably at the top of her game as a performer and character. There’s something about the PROCEED WITH CAUTION era of Naomi right now that you can’t turn your head from. She’s great in this character when it’s time to improv, and heel Naomi is dope at stealing wins. Hell, did you see the way she won her WWE Women’s Championship?
Will we ever see Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill as a tag team ever again?
It’s WWE, so never say never, but for right now? Bianca Belair has to make sure her broken finger is healed, and after a loss to Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill needs to get some more wins under her belt. But trust: a storm is coming. Either way, expect to see these two (and possibly Naomi) back together at some point in the future.
- How painful? At the time, WWE said Cargill had suffered “deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a bruised kidney, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a tibial plateau bone bruise of her right knee, and facial lacerations.” How she even made it back is a miracle. ↩︎
I would love to see Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill team up again regain their friendship and take back the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles also I would love to see a Bianca Belair Naomi match also I think that Bianca should make Naomi pay for what Naomi has done to Jade Cargill so hopefully WWE will talk about making a Bianca Belair versus Naomi match I hope the Bianca Belair Naomi match happens
